The 22nd MetBPA Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 3rd October 2016 at the East Auditorium, 27th floor, Empress State Building, Empress Approach, Lillie Road, London SW6 1TR from 09:00hrs-16:00hrs.
The theme of the AGM will be:
“Police and the Community – Facing the Future Together”
The MetBPA Chair, Janet Hills, stated: “The MetBPA was built from a unified platform on which we continue to address the institutional policies designed to support the disproportionality, lack of development for BME officers and ensure the fair treatment of all BME personnel in the MPS. Whilst we maintain there are still many challenges ahead, we are constantly working with the organisation to be more inclusive in their development programmes which will be a true reflection of the community. We will continue to work to build trust and confidence within the community and address any concerns raised by continuing to collaborate with a broad spectrum of multi-agencies to ensure a more effective outcome.
This year’s AGM will have an election of the new Executive Committee for 2016-18 followed by the afternoon of speakers and a discussion panel which will consist of the MetBPA Executive, invited speakers and guests.
Election of Executive Committee: The election of the Executive Committee is a biennial event (every two years) and will take place during the ‘members only’ morning session.
The Morning portion of the AGM is open to fully paid members only. If your membership has lapsed, or you are unsure of your current membership status, then please contact the MetBPA office to update or enquire about your subscription.
If you’re attending the AGM and have any special dietary requirements, please inform the MetBPA Office as soon as possible.
All members are encouraged to attend the AGM as this is your opportunity to help shape the future of your association and it is important that you have your say. Please make a note in your diary and bring this to the attention of your line managers as soon as possible. We look forward to greeting you at the AGM.
