New Year’s Honours for Met staff and officers

Three volunteer officers who have given over 50,000 hours of service are among those from the Metropolitan Police Service honoured in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list.

Eleven officers, staff and volunteers, past and present, have been honoured this year.

Metropolitan Police Special Constabulary (MSC) Sergeant Robert Harrild receives an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) and is currently the longest serving special constable in England and Wales having joined the Met in January 1967.  Read More
