West Indian Association of Service Personnel 6th annual March Past

“As Black History Month approaches and November being the month of remembrance, WASP; West Indian Service Personnel have organised a March of Remembrance on the 2nd October 2016.
It is to acknowledge the contributions of Black Service Men and Women.

The MetBPA are looking for Officers; unoformed or plain clothed and Police Staff, to support WASP in remembering these Service Men and Women who have fallen in the line of duty and whilst in service.

All Service personnel; Army, Navy, Police, Fire Brigade and Health Professionals are invited and welcome to attend and remember the contributions and sacrifices that have been made. It doesn’t matter if you are currently serving or have previously served.

Come, walk and remember.

Please remember to seek authorisation from your SLT to attend in Uniform.

The March will be on Sunday 2nd October 2016, we assemble at 10.15am at St. John Crescent SW9, all so known as Max Roach Park.

The march will commence on thr stroke of the public clock at 11:00hrs sharp.

All servicemen and women who will be wearing their uniform on this parade please ensure that you obtain permission from your commanding officer first.

Those of you in a wheelchair please inform us, so that we can provide a helper to push you in the parade, if you do not have a helper already.

After the march, the ceremony and the laying of wreaths, all are invited back to WASP Head Quarters at 161-167 Clapham Manor Street, SW4 6DB for tea and coffee

Nearest Underground Station: Brixton Underground Station

Road: The A23 is a major road through Lambeth and St. John Crescent comes off this road.
